Welcome to our research group website!
The core focus of our research is on a variety of topics in evolutionary genetics. Specifically, we are focused on better understanding the genetics of adaptation. To accomplish this we use a wide variety of approaches: experimental evolution, statistical genomics, and phylogenetics.

Currently, I (J. Bollback) am located at the University of Edinburgh. At the end of next summer I will be moving to the Institute of Science and Technology (IST) Austria.
IST Austria is a new research institute located outside of Vienna, in the Vienna Woods. IST is dedicated to basic research and graduate education in the Natural Sciences and related fields. IST Austria is working to become a world-class scientific research center with a state-of-the-art research environment. By 2016, IST Austria expects to have 500 leading scientists, post-doctoral scientists, and doctoral students.
